The Heavy Equipment Comparator: Benchmark & Improve Your Equipment ROI - Webinar

Oct 14, 2025 - 3:00 PM (ET) - Live, Online
Hosted by CFMA

About this Event

The Heavy Equipment Comparator (HEC) is back and better than ever. CFMA and the Association of Equipment Management Professionals (AEMP) launched an updated and improved version of the survey specifically designed to effectively manage and improve your heavy equipment fleet from a financial, maintenance, and operational perspective.

This webinar will review how balancing the size and composition of your fleet with effective maintenance practices, maximizing equipment utilization, and optimizing fleet costs are key components to successful fleet management. Analyzing the complex relationship between these key business practices requires standardization along with insightful analytics.

During this webinar, the presenters will provide an overview of the updated design and value of the HEC.  With a streamlined structure, the new and improved HEC has made it much easier for heavy construction companies to participate in and receive benefits from the survey results.

The HEC establishes common terminology, standard terms, definitions, and calculation and formulation methods for metrics. It provides a common platform to benchmark performance between peers, using industry averages and best-in-class KPIs for comparison.

After this session, attendees will be able to:

  • Define and understand the benefits of the 26 HEC metrics which are critical for managing your fleet.
  • Understand how your company can collect those metrics.
  • More efficiently complete the 2025 HEC Survey.
  • Realize the benefits your company will gain by participating in the survey.
